About the Margaritaville Resort in Palm Springs

I love this place! I always stay here when I need a little getaway. It’s cheerful, clean and Jimmy Buffet themed, so head to the poolside for an ice cold drink and get ready to relax. The staff are so warm and helpful, and the food is out of this world.

Two pools (one quiet, both have bars), a fitness room, several cafes and restaurants, and mountain views, a lovely restaurant patio with firepits, and they offer complimentary bike rentals.

Rooms are available directly through the Margaritaville website, and they do offer specials that change weekly. If enough students commit to rooming at the resort that we know we will book 8 rooms, I can reach out to the resort for a room block that will give everyone a nice discount, so please pay your retreat fee first and then email me that you’re in. (You can also book your stay, and then if we do get the room block, you can cancel and re-book.)

I highly recommend getting a room with one of their soaking tubs… ah. heaven. (At check-in request upstairs and away from the pool area which is always quieter if you prefer a more restful evening.)

Yes, you can stay at a different hotel if you prefer, but our meeting place will be at the Margaritaville.

Please plan to arrive on Friday (yes you can come before Friday if you want).

The Palm Springs Airport is just 10mins away from our resort, and you can easily rideshare to the hotel.

Parking at the hotel if you’re staying there is free. If you’re staying elsewhere but attending the Sat workshop, you will get a free parking placard for your car.

Palm Springs is located 107miles east of Los Angeles, and is an easy 1hr45min drive. Don’t get stuck in traffic!!! I highly recommend leaving Los Angeles by 10am at the latest on Friday morning.

Note that if you’re bringing your dog, I highly recommend doggie shoes, as the asphalt is very hot on doggie feet and can burn. Fur-babies are welcome.

The Margaritaville spa is magical, and you may want to book your treatment prior to when you arrive. You get all day access to their pools inside the spa.
